Excusing Absences
Remember, to excuse past absences, you must send in a note with your student or call the Attendance Office within 48 hours (per state law). If you do not, these absences become truancies and will lead to disciplinary action for students. 

Passes to Leave Campus
Parents: we prefer that you send in a signed note to excuse your student from school for appointments or personal reasons. If you absolutely must call it in, please call to give the Attendance Office enough time to generate and run the note. Thank you.

Home and Hospital
1. Parents must contact the Attendance Office to inquire about the Home and Hospital program.
2. A signed doctor’s note stating that student cannot attend school and for approximately how long is required.
3. Home and Hospital is only utilized for an illness lasting from 2-6 weeks.

Short Term Independent Study
1. Designed for students who will miss a minimum of 5 days but not more than 10 school days due to personal reasons as deemed appropriate by a parent/guardian 2. Parent/guardian must write and sign a note describing the reasons for absence and include the length of time student will be gone (5-10 days) 3. The school requires a full work week of notice to set up the independent program for your student!
