Course Description:
This course will provide an introduction to the Internet, including its history, structure, and search capabilities. The basics of Web publishing will be taught through HTML commands, digital photography, and image editing techniques. During the second semester, students will have an opportunity to develop skills in the area of digital imaging. The basis for this portion of the course will be Adobe PhotoShop - tutorials and demonstrations will lead toward mastery of this powerful application. Sources of images will include original work, scanned artwork or photos, and digital photographs. This course satisfies the district computer proficiency requirement for graduation. This course is open to all grades. Computer Apps I or passing the computer proficiency test/requirement is recommended (but not required) for enrollment.
