Ag Physical Science
This course will provide students with a strong foundation of theories and principles related to Agricultural sciences and Physical Science. The course is designed to meet the physical science graduation requirement and is designed to prepare students for college entry into various disciplines of Agriculture. Students in Ag Physical Science will demonstrate a functional knowledge of the following areas: diversity and composition of matter, basic chemistry and chemical equations, mechanical energy and motion, electrical energy and magnetism, heat energy and waves, standards of measurement, and laboratory skills and safety. Hands-on lab experiences are designed to enhance the student's understanding of the relationship of agriculture and physical science.
Note: One year of Ag Physical Science will meet the one-year physical science laboratory requirement for graduation.
There are no prerequisites for this course, and it is open to 9th and 10th grade students.
