Mrs. Freshour started out teaching at Enterprise High school for a few years and wanted to create a class for seniors. She talked with the administration and they came up with this class for Foothill High school. She felt like we needed a class for seniors because they are heading out on there own and There is allot they need to know before they go out on there own, this is how the class got started at Foothill High. Teaching the kids how to live on there own with little expenses and allot to handle is important to her, she wants to get the point across that its not that easy. Her favorite thing to teach the students is the cooking skill because it can lead to a carrier in the future and the majority of the kids like it. Throughout the year the kids learn how to cook anywhere from home made tortilla to Mexican food. Mrs. Freshour has two children both out of high school and in college, Her son Scott is 21 years old and attending Sac state. Her daughter Sara is 18 years old and currently attending Cal Polly, she is going for her nutrition major and wants to be a sports nutritionist.
