They are made for close range and don’t fire very far and also require manual cocking after each shot . They run off of a rechargeable battery and fire in a full auto or semi auto mode. There is no manual cocking required. Text Box: Green/Red Gas Guns Gas airsoft guns are the most powerful type of gun, and fire the farthest. They usually fire in a semi auto mode. However, they lack accuracy and it is expensive to buy the gas for refills. Gas guns should only be used by dedicated airsoft players, as they are the most expensive gun available.
