How does your host town compare to your hometown? Redding is smaller.
Your favorite pastime? I like to go shopping, to the movies, hang out with my friends and spend time with family.
What were the highlights of your exchange experience? Everything is amazing, the people I met, the school, all the events at school, going snowboarding, my host family is adorable...
What were the biggest cultural differences? School  is much easier and food is very different. Americans are nicer, and more welcoming.
More or less classwork/homework this school year than at home? I had nothing compared to home.
The main differences between classes, exams, and the way students here study compared to your school? In the U.S. courses are much easier, exams too. School is more fun & American students are allowed to do more things during class. But I love the school events & school spirit.
Any classes/teachers you enjoyed and would recommend? Mr. Vanek, Mrs. Bourne, Mr. Moore, & Mr. Hilbert.
Any specific goals during your stay here? If so, what were they? Learn the language, experience another culture, enjoy another school system, meet different people.
Was your stay here very different from what you expected? Yeah, it's much better than what I imagined. Everything is so amazing.
What might be hard for FHS students to adjust to in the culture of your country?  Any behaviors here that would be rude, not proper, or odd in your country? French culture is different, for example, in class, we never talk because it's considered rude towards the teacher.
What effects will your exchange experience have on your future? It will change all my future. I realized a lot of things & I am more tolerant, less shy. I have different interests. It changed my personality.
Miscellaneous comments. Thanks to the people who talked to me & are interested in me & my country. I'm really enjoying my stay & I love the U.S.
