As an alternative to completing a business or technology course, you may elect to fulfill the computer proficiency requirement by completing five of the following components of the computer proficiency challenge exam:  (NOTE:  The word processing component is required—Choose five from the list below)

 

 

1.      Word processing—format a report (required)

2.      E-mail and Internet—send e-mail with an attachment to the test proctor and research and copy the information to a word processing document

3.      General computer knowledge—forty multiple-choice questions (70% accuracy required)

4.      PowerPoint presentation—create presentation as instructed

5.      Web page design—create one-page Web page with Internet links using Dreamweaver, Word or PowerPoint.

6.      Spreadsheet—create spreadsheet in Excel and insert formulas

7.      Database—create database using Access and run query

8.      Desktop publishing—insert information in the form of a newsletter
