You might think the army is only good for the money but that's not all.
In the army you can train to be anything you want. Anywhere from a plumber to Helicopter engine re.
Your signing bonus depends on what job you choose. To be honest it is fairly random.
After you choose your job your are going to be asked how much time you will want to serve.

Personally i chose 4 years due to the new GI bill. If you serve up to or more than 3 years than the army will pay your way through college as thanks for serving your country. The most you will have to pay for is your own food, which you get a discount on for serving in the army.
When you get out of the army your opportunities fly right open. Any place you apply for a job will most likely hire you because you served time in the army.
