What is FlexTime and what does this mean for students?

FlexTime is a designated time during the school day for students to meet with one of their teachers to make up assignments, get additional support or reteaching, access a quiet study hall or attend unique enrichment lessons to ensure student success. FlexTime at the high school level helps students succeed by providing academic, emotional, and behavioral support. This FlexTime will occur only two days per week with students and teachers choosing FlexTime locations.

FlexTime is designed to build essential skills, improve grades, and offer personalized attention, ensuring students stay on track and are prepared for their future. This isn't just for struggling students—it's also beneficial for high-achieving students by providing enrichment opportunities, personalized feedback, and additional resources.

When is FlexTime starting?

We will begin FlexTime near the start of the 2025-2026 school year.  This spring semester we will run a one week trial to prepare students and staff for the roll out in the Fall semester. This trial week does not alter start and finish times during the school week - start and release times will remain the same and buses will run as normal.

Additional information will be provided as we get closer to the roll out with more specifics about FlexTime. Stay tuned!
