What is FlexTime and what does this mean for students?

FlexTime is a designated time during the school day for students to meet with one of their teachers to make up assignments, get additional support or reteaching, access a quiet study hall or attend unique enrichment lessons to ensure student success. FlexTime at the high school level helps students succeed by providing academic, emotional, and behavioral support. FlexTime will occur three days per week during 4th period (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with students and teachers choosing student FlexTime locations.

Beginning Spring Semester 2026, additional minutes have been added to 1st period on the first day of the week. This time allows students to hear important announcements, watch the ASB video bulletin, and select their FlexTime locations for the week.

FlexTime is designed to build essential skills, improve grades, and offer personalized attention, ensuring students stay on track and are prepared for their future. This isn't just for struggling students—it's also beneficial for high-achieving students by providing enrichment opportunities, personalized feedback, and additional resources.
