At Foothill High School, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that empowers our 1500+ students to reach their fullest potential. Our commitment to academic excellence, personal growth and community engagement prepares our students to become responsible and innovative leaders of tomorrow. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, continually adapting to meet the needs of our students and the demands of the ever-changing society. We offer a diverse range of academic programs designed to challenge and inspire our students. From advanced placement courses to Career Tech Ed (CTE), our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of ALL learners. Foothill High School is proud to offer and excels in a wide range of extracurricular activities from athletics, clubs, drama, music, FFA and arts that are matchless in the North State.
Message From The Principal
It is my great pleasure to welcome our students and families to the 2026-2027 school year at Foothill High School. My name is Kevin Greene, and it is an honor to serve as the principal of this incredible school and community. I have been an educator for more than 20 years, and I am fortunate to have spent much of that time serving students and families right here in the Shasta Union High School District.
Foothill is a special place, and what makes it special is the people who make up our Cougar family. To our returning students and families, welcome back! Thank you for continuing to be part of our community and for the trust you place in us each year. To those who are new to Foothill, welcome! We are excited to have you join us and look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Our goal is simple: we want every student who walks through our doors to feel that they belong, that they are supported, and that they are capable of achieving great things. We work hard to provide our students with a wide range of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, including rigorous academics, career and technical education, athletics, clubs, activities, music, drama, agriculture, the arts, and numerous opportunities for students to become actively involved in their school and community.
As we move through the school year, our focus will continue to be on helping students become critical thinkers, open-minded individuals, goal-oriented learners, active participants, socially aware citizens, and, most importantly, young people who are prepared for whatever comes next.
I believe strongly in being accessible to our students, families, and staff. I maintain an open-door philosophy and welcome honest, respectful conversations. If you ever feel that a conversation would be helpful, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or a member of our administrative team. While we may not always have an immediate answer or be able to accommodate every request, we will listen, communicate, and work to find the best solution possible for our students.
